Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Driving efficient manufacturing through precise planning, material optimization, and seamless coordination across all production processes.

Department Overview

The PPC department serves as the central operational hub for all processing segments within our fabrication complex. It systematically calibrates the sequence, volume, and allocation of output across individual engineering departments based on available real-time manpower and structural timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Work Release Planning

The team accurately calculates and defines the exact structural steel tonnage to be allocated and released to the shop floor on specific target dates.

Performance Monitoring

Maintains comprehensive metrics of daily, weekly, and monthly fabrication logs across every production cell, systematically matching progress against metrics.

Process Coordination

Oversees and orchestrates sequential manufacturing lines within the facility, preventing assembly line bottlenecks and ensuring seamless workflows.

Document Flow Management

Manages high-volume transmission of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed shop drawings from engineering headquarters straight to execution squads on the floor.

Material Optimization

To maintain manufacturing cost efficiencies, the PPC division deploys specialized heavy-industry nesting software. This system maps structural components directly onto raw dimensions, creating high-accuracy part marks before cutting starts.

For example: When standard width 1500 mm Hot-Rolled (HR) plates enter processing, the system runs programmatic layout calculations to fit required dimensions perfectly into the stock layout, reducing structural scrap metal margins to an absolute minimum.

This systematic process is designated as "Part Marking."

* All downstream structural fabrication, plate cutting, and assembly lines operate strictly in adherence to these software-generated part marks.

Additional Functions

  • Inventory Management: Monitors continuous raw stock material balances, ensuring raw steel and component counts never drop below critical production levels.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinates transit configurations and heavy haul freight scheduling for organized, systematic on-site component distribution.
  • Interdepartmental Sync: Maintains an active, real-time feedback loop with all management sectors, including commercial accounts, to support seamless plant operations.
